Privacy notice

Version 2026-10 · Effective 2026-10-06

Khemet Incorporated operates khemet.net and khemetworld.net. This notice covers what we collect when you join our waiting list or send us an enquiry through either site, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do about it.

It covers the pre-launch waiting list and the enquiry forms only. When the Khemet streaming platform and Khemet World open, they will carry their own terms and their own privacy notice, and we will tell you before this one is replaced.

Who is responsible

Khemet Incorporated
FM 544, Suite 1191
Wylie, TX 75098
United States

Privacy enquiries: privacy@khemetworld.net
One company, two brands — the address reaches us for either site.

What we collect, and why

Joining the waiting list

WhatWhy we ask
First name
(and last name on the fuller forms)
So we can address you properly rather than writing to an address
Email address To send the weekly email you asked for, and to confirm the address is really yours
City and country
(on the fuller forms)
So we know where the Khemetician family is — and because streaming rights differ by territory, so we can tell you what will actually be available where you are
Whether you are a viewer, a creator, a business, or interested in investor relations So what we send you is about the things you chose, and not the things you didn't

Our systems also record, without asking you: which site and form you came through; the date and time you gave consent and the version of this notice you agreed to; and a unique confirmation link and unsubscribe link. Together those are our record that you asked to hear from us.

Submitting a film, documentary, series or episode

The submission form also collects what you tell us about the work — title, type, genre, runtime, year, a summary, trailer and screener links, who holds the rights, which territories, and whether it is on other platforms — plus your company and phone number if you give them.

We treat screener links and unreleased material as confidential. They are never included in any export to an email service, they are seen only by the people at Khemet who need them to consider your submission, and we do not publish, index or share them outside Khemet without asking you first.

Advertising or sponsorship enquiries

We collect your brand, website, contact name, email and phone, and the details of what you are proposing — ad type, format, length, frequency, dates, target countries, budget and any notes.

Why we are allowed to do this

We do not sell your information. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not build a profile of you beyond the interest you chose yourself.

Who else sees it

If we add an email service or analytics provider, we will update this notice and its version number before we start using them.

How long we keep it

WhatHow long
Waiting-list entries Until you unsubscribe, or two years after our last email to you, whichever comes first. We then delete your name, city, country and interests and keep only a record that the address unsubscribed, so we do not email you again by mistake
Sign-ups never confirmedDeleted after 30 days
Content submissions While we are considering the work, and three years afterwards — rights conversations come back. Ask us and we will delete it sooner
Advertising enquiriesTwo years from your last contact

What you can ask us to do

Write to privacy@khemetworld.net and we will:

We will reply within 30 days. We will never charge you, and we will never treat you differently for asking.

In the UK or the EU you may also object to our processing and complain to your national data protection authority. In California you have the rights above, and we do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of.

Children

Khemet is not for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has signed up, write to us and we will delete it.

Security

Your information is held in an encrypted database on AWS, reachable only by Khemet systems and the small number of people who operate them. Both sites are served over HTTPS. No system is perfect, and we will tell you promptly if something happens that affects you.

Changes

If we change this notice we will change its version number and effective date. If the change is significant we will email you about it before it takes effect.
